Smooth start, good features

I just switched to sevdesk for my bookkeeping, moving from a different provider. The setup was fairly easy for the Buchhaltung für Selbstständige. I switched from Lexoffice to sevdesk last year. For me, the interface felt a bit more intuitive and the reporting was clearer. Plus, the DATEV export is super smooth for my tax advisor.

Both are good, honestly. It kinda depends on what specific features you use most. Sevdesk's project management tools are a bit more robust if you need that, otherwise they're pretty comparable for basic stuff.

How easy is it to get my data out of sevdesk if I decide to cancel or switch later? Don't want to be locked in.

Pretty easy, you can just export everything. I think they have a DATEV export and general data exports so your accountant can pick it up. No issues with that when I was checking it out.

Yeah, they're pretty transparent about that. You can export your data and your accountant can even get direct access if you set it up. So you're not really locked in.
